Under the terms of the agreement, Hyatt will handle all operational and management aspects of the luxurious 5-star Park Hyatt that will be developed by ADNH on Saadiyat Island at the northern part.

The signing ceremony was attended by HE Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), and senior executives from ADTA, ADNH and Hyatt International. The agreement was signed by HE Saif Mohammed Al Hajeri, Chairman of ADNH and Peter Fulton, Managing Director, Hyatt International - South West Asia Limited.

HE Sheikh Tahnoon praised the excellent accomplishments of the hotels in the UAE, which ushered international and leading brands to establish and manage some of the world's most luxurious hotels and resorts here in the UAE.

"Such moves help boost the UAE's travel and tourism sectors into new horizons. And by providing the relevant infrastructure, Abu Dhabi is poised to become the region's leading business, entertainment and cultural destination,"

His Excellency added.

Al Hajeri said:
"We are extremely happy to partner with Hyatt International which is an internationally-known hospitality leader. Hyatt's excellent reputation, expertise and resources will be critical in managing the resort on Saadiyat and we believe that the Park Hyatt property on the Island will be a key addition to Saadiyat's, top of the range facilities for accommodation, leisure and entertainment."

Signing the agreement on behalf of Hyatt International, Fulton said:
"We are very happy and proud to be associated with ADNH, a leading hospitality group in the UAE. We are certain that this partnership will blossom in the future and bring about immense benefits to both ADNH and Park Hyatt in the coming years."

Occupying over 75,000 sq metres, the ADNH Park Hyatt Saadiyat Resort is expected to be completed by 2010. It will have 316 rooms, suites and villas in addition to top class restaurants and facilities dedicated to conference, banqueting and recreation.

Located on the Saadiyat Beach district, the Park Hyatt will be surrounded by an 18-hole championship golf course and will boast a 9-kilometre stretch of pristine natural beach from where one can watch dolphins as well as visit the natural, turtle-nesting habitat on the Island. The resort will be located very close to the Cultural District which will house the world famous Louvre and Guggenheim museums in Abu Dhabi.

"As Abu Dhabi continues to grow as an important destination for tourists, holiday-makers and business travellers, a growing need is being felt for luxury properties in the UAE capital. Park Hyatt will be a vital addition to ADNH's portfolio of high-end hotels and resorts," noted Al Hajeri.
