The Iftar banquet was held on 10, September 2008, for the benefit of under privileged community members, and was attended by 100 students from different schools across the city, along with their parents. During the event, attendees received packages including items of clothing and food products. Held as part of a community-based initiative launched by the School management in collaboration with Umniah and other organizations, the banquet was also attended by prominent figures from the local community in Al Ramtha.

"We, at Umniah, believe that social contributions should be practiced by all capable citizens throughout the year The Holy Month of Ramadan is time when such observances are further highlighted. Our contribution to this iftar banquet is one that fills us with a great sense of awe. Although we deem this contribution to be small, yet we feel it is grand in the weight of good it holds. By continuing to be active in the local community, we feel that we have taken a step forward in Jordan's journey towards further growth,"

said Umniah CEO Mr. Joseph Hanania .
