Dubai Customs honors distinguished inspectors at the 14th basic course

Dubai Customs honored a number of distinguished inspectors who took part in the 14th basic course held at Dubai Police Academy from which 53 inspectors have been graduated.

This comes as part of Dubai Customs belief in the importance of job excellence and its keenness to create a competitive work environment and support distinctive staff in different areas.

Mr. Ahmed Butti Ahmed, Director General of Dubai Customs honored the distinguished inspectors in person following his decision on payment of monetary reward to them and promotion to higher grade as well.

Mr. Butti gave out the three distinguished inspectors; Ghareeb Mohammed Hussain from Land Transport, Mohammed Ali Humaid Obaid Al Razi, from Airport Operations and Obaid Hassan Saeed Al Shari, from Investigation Department, gifts and certificates in recognition of their efforts made during the course and lauding their commitment and distinction encouraging them to deliver more excellence, creativity and diligence.

Mr. Butti said:
"Honoring of distinguished staff comes as part of implementing Dubai Customs approach to encourage and motivate distinguished and ideal staff throughout the organization as well as underlining their effective role in supporting the organization to achieve its mission and motivating all employees at all divisions to make more effort to improve and develop performance."


Ms. Feryal Tawakul, the Executive Director of Human Resources paying a tribute to the three superior inspectors, said:
"Creativity is a Dubai Customs employees feature. Dubai Customs devoted itself assiduously to honor distinctive staff giving highest concern with its human resource and keeping on to support, motivate and develop employees' competencies, creativities and skills by sending them to training courses, which keep them well informed and in line with the latest technologies and sciences as well as having them attended permanent training that favorably reflected on the organizational service delivery standards."


Dubai Customs is keen to build a performance based motivation system being a key principle of Dubai Government human resources strategy as high performance and prominent competencies are prerequisites for recognition, promotion and reward.
