Mr. Joudi comes onboard with an impressive resume of work in the field of Motorsport, and most recently served as Managing Editor at the Dubai office of one of the region's most respected sports magazines, Sport Auto. His auto journalistic body of work includes stints as Managing editor of Gulf Auto magazine, assistant Managing Editor of Auto News magazine and writer at Auto Sports magazine.
"It's fair to say that Motorsport has been an intrinsic part of my life and I'm truly blessed to be able to roll my passion and profession into one"
said Mr. Joudi, whose love for Motorsport began as a little kid in Syria where his father pioneered an auto sports magazine of his own.
"My decision to move to Dubai Autodrome as the Arab Media Officer was based on an entrusted vision, as I foresee a bright and promising future awaiting this international UAE circuit. I consider Dubai Autodrome a part of me as I have never missed watching and covering the races that took place on its sophisticated circuit ever since it was built back in 2004" he added.
Besides nearly a decade in auto journalism, Mr. Joudi is armed with a degree in Business Administration, with Travel and Tourism as a specialty, from Lincoln University, UK. This will give him a unique perspective of viewing Motorsport not just as a thrill-a-minute sport, but as an exciting tourism driving tool. With many futuristic developments being planned around Dubai Autodrome, the potential to spread and enhance the auto sports culture in the country is enormous, and this will be key to Mr. Joudi's work profile in his new endeavour.
"We are very happy to welcome Mr. Rami Joudi to the Autodrome family" said Mr. Saeed Khalfan, Chairman of the Dubai Autodrome. "We have many plans in the pipeline to make Motorsport the most popular sport in the region and Dubai Autodrome the nucleus of activity, and Mr. Joudi has a keen understanding of what people want thanks to his years as a popular auto magazine editor. This combined with his tourism background makes him a valuable addition to our team" he added.
