The new range of products that will be on display at Gitex not only surpass existing standards, but also helps consumers to enjoy the benefits of the digital life anytime, anyplace without any stress.

"Gitex has led the new digital media era and its role and status is getting much more important in the 21st century," said Mr. Chiwon Suh, President and CEO, Samsung Middle East and Africa Headquarters.

"It is only natural for us to launch our latest range of products that strive to ease consumer's digital fatigue to the Middle East market at Gitex."

"Now more and more digital devices are coming to the market and they are also slowly connecting with each other. So in that sense the convenience of connectivity is very critical and essential.

If you look at Samsung's product portfolio, it is very comprehensive, ranging from home products like LCD TVs, home cinema and Blu-Ray Players to mobile devices, like camcorders, digital cameras and MP3 players and mobile phones, right through to IT products like printers, monitors and PCs.

We are in the best position to converge all of these devices, and that's what people are going to be able to see at Gitex," said Mr Suh.

New product offerings that will be on show go beyond pure technological advancement, as the company places new emphasis on value-added contents and services, such as the unique InfoLive function in the 7, and 8 series TVs.

InfoLive allows viewers access to streaming news, weather and stock info directly through the internet. The TVs are also shipped with a variety of professionally created content, such as an art gallery, cooking and yoga programs, and games for the kids.

Anynet + HDMI-CEC has been installed so that a single remote can control multiple AV devices, such as a home theater, Blu-ray player, camcorder, digital camera, and of course the TV itself.

Many AV products that will be on show at Gitex, such as the MX20 camcorder, NV100HD digital camera, and BD-P2500 5th Generation Blu-ray player, work in perfect harmony with Samsung TVs in terms of both design and connectivity.
