Oman Mobile to hold various activities for children of Dar Ri'ayat Al Tufoula

Oman Mobile is organizing various activities for the children of Dar Ri'ayat Al Tufoula Orphanage during this Ramadan and Eid.

Zuwaina Al Rashdi, senior manager of Corporate Advertisement and Media Planning and acting GM of Corporate Communication, said: "Oman Mobile's participation in social events and programmes is a major pillar in the building blocks of Oman's development."

Mohammed Al Ma'amari, director of Dar Ri'ayat Al Tufoula Orphanage, commented: "We are happy and honoured with Oman Mobile's constant sponsorship of our activities."

In line with this belief of generous giving, Oman Mobile continues to support the Ramadan and Eid programmes at Dar Ri'ayat Al Tufoula Orphanage that is part of the Ministry of Social Development.

Zuwaina Al Rashdi announced: "Our continuous involvement in the Ramadan and Eid events at the orphanage are in line with our social responsibility and community goals. We reach out to the orphans who are part of our family by enriching their time in Ramadan with programmes that benefit them and make them happy. This involves cultural, religious and entertaining events as we gladly take part in their joy."

Mohammed Al Ma'amari expressed his sentiments: "The Ramadan and Eid programmes are an annual event as part of the plans at the orphanage and 2008 is another year that brings these events to life again with a variety of activities. For the month of Ramadan, Oman Mobile will take part in organising a group iftar and supporting cultural and religious competitions such as Quran memorisation, and also sports competitions such as soccer and table tennis."

He added: "For the Eid programme, our activities are entertaining and educational with sight-seeing tourism activities that run for a series of four days. On these days, children will visit a number of heritage locations in the interior region of Oman such as the Cultural Village in Bahla. Children will also be divided into groups in their trips to the shopping malls, Marah Land, Sawadi Beach and Wadi Andam.
