- PRESS RELEASE
PackTech International and PrinTech/PubliTech International, the Middle East's dual showcase for the international packaging, printing and publishing industries, is to get a Chinese industry pavilion when it takes place next year.
"The continuing growth of the Middle East makes the region extremely attractive to international business as reflected in the prominent Chinese presence," said Dominic McGill, Project Manager PrinTech/PubliTech International, Fairs and Exhibitions (F&E), which organisers the two trade events.
Within the PrinTech/PubliTech sphere a number of companies will be launching various printing solutions such as the giant CRON Corporation, winners of the Chinese Government's 'Scientific and Technological Creation' prize, which will introduce its range of high-precision pre-print and printing equipment.
A number of Chinese packaging machine manufacturers specialising in such fields as aluminium tube production, corrugated paperboard and hot melt adhesive products, will also make the trip to Dubai.
"With a growing food production industry, currently registering around 5% annual growth, the need for specialist packaging solutions is increasing in the Middle East. PackTech International offers the region's most comprehensive equipment sourcing forum," said Sharla Hancock, Project Manager PackTech International, F&E.
China joins a growing collection of countries to be represented at the exhibitions, which have confirmed exhibitors from Sri Lanka, Turkey, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Italy, France, Egypt, India, Pakistan, Greece, Spain, Russia, Iran and the UAE.
PackTech is also to have for the first time a pavilion from Turkey. A biennial event, PackTech International is the Middle East's only B2B trade show for the packaging industry. The exhibition has the backing of the UK-headquartered Confederation of Organisers of Packaging Exhibitions (COPE).
Its sister exhibition, PrinTech/PubliTech International, also takes place every two years. With the official backing of the UAE's Printers Association, the event is a showcase for the industries emerging technologies. It will also feature its first Iranian pavilion.
