Empost launches hi-tech navigation system

Empost, the leading express courier, cargo and logistics company in the UAE and region, has launched a state-of-the-art navigation system.
Commenting on the new navigation system, Mr. Sultan Al Midfa, CEO, Empost, said: With the courier, logistics and cargo sector booming in the UAE, Empost has moved into a high growth phase.

The launch of the hi-tech navigation system is a step towards revamping the infrastructure and facilities at Empost, and reaffirms our unique capability of offering quick distribution solutions.
He added: "Empost accredits its consistent growth to transforming challenges into primary strengths; such milestones include a list of services such as Ezimail, Total Mail Management, Heavies Express Service, Bulk Distribution, EMX International, Track and Trace, and a stream of other services.

Meanwhile, Eng. Fadel Attalla the Head of Fleet Section commented on the details: "This is a trial phase; we applied this hi-tech navigation system on 100 cars and 60 motor-cycles, which is planned to be implemented exclusively for this service.
Our future plan calls for applying the navigation system to the complete fleet comprising 600 cars, as this move will upgrade the efficiency of our transport system and hence, will cater to all the future demands and requirements."
Fadel assured that Empost courier vehicles are now equipped with the latest wireless communication technologies such as the mobile data service, GPRS (General Packet Radio Service), the satellite-based navigation system GPS (Global Positioning System), messaging and other tracking systems.
