In addition, Lootah will oversee the company's citizenship and corporate social responsibility initiatives. He has been with Microsoft for over a year and most recently served as the Public Sector Director of Microsoft Gulf where he played a leading role in enhancing the company's relationships with governments across the Gulf.

With the support of the leadership team, Lootah will continue to lead the Public Sector until a suitable replacement is found.
A UAE national, Lootah holds a BA in Computer Science with emphasis on Applied Mathematics from San Diego, an MBA with specialization in Information Systems from New Hampshire College Manchester, in USA and a Master of Law in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from University of Strathclyde, UK. Prior to joining Microsoft, Lootah was the Director in charge of Information Technology at the Department of Naturalization and Residency Administration.
