Egypt digitizes its national folklore for generations to come

A cooperation protocol was signed today between MCIT's National Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage and the General Organization for Cultural Palaces to document Egypt's folkloric heritage using state-of-the-art technological methods.
Documentation of folkloric heritage being material or verbal
(traditional) is among the priorities of the Cultnat projects and the General Organization of Cultural Palaces. Phase one of the agreement comprises the conducting of an initial study of existing data and formulating an action plan for the documentation process. Mr. Anas Al Fiqi, Chairman of the General Organization of Cultural Palaces and Dr. Fathy Saleh, Director of Cultnat signed the Protocol.
