United Arab Emirates: Sunday, September 28 - 2008 at 08:19
Emirates International Telecommunications and GO of Malta increased their stake in Greece's broadband operator Forthnet to 34%, taking the total investment value to Dhs1.1bn ($300m). The stake increase follows the acquisition by Forgendo of a 21% stake in Forthnet earlier this year. This investment allowed Forthnet to purchase NetMed, creating the first converged pay TV and broadband player in Greece, according to a press statement.
