Alongside the Al Khaleej project, QSi currently also has two further projects underway, with a combined value of 1,267 million Qatari Riyals, these are the Taj Exotica Golf & Spa Resort, a luxury spa and hotel development; and the Doha Club. The Doha Club is set to become Doha's leading exclusive members' clubs and will set the standard for marine clubs across the region.
Today's announcement brings QSi, which also runs a luxury health club in Doha, to a combined asset value of 5bn Qatari Riyals.
These developments will form the centrepiece of QSi's growth strategy, and are set to deliver significant revenue streams earmarked for investment in Qatar's strategically important sporting industry.
Commenting on today's announcement, QSi's Managing Director, Mr. Ahmed Al Sulaiti, said:
"QSi is focussed on investing in Qatari sport, QSi uses profits raised through its tailored investment products in both sporting and non-sporting developments to deliver significant levels of investment in further sporting initiatives for Qatar. The aims and ambitions of the company are embodied in the desire to raise the role of sports in Qatar and place Qatari sports firmly on the global map and these exiting new projects demonstrate the capabilities of QSi and will enable us to achieve our ambitions."
The continued growth and development of Qatar means QSi is well placed to take advantage and benefit from favourable market conditions with future developments planned. Alongside this, QSi has taken the first steps towards developing international opportunities, allowing for greater diversification in the company's portfolio and further generation of profit for reinvestment.
