APID to participate in Fit-Out Abu Dhabi

  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, September 28 - 2008 at 11:50
  • PRESS RELEASE

The Association of Professional Interior Designers (APID) in the Gulf region will have a strong presence at Fit-Out Middle East scheduled to take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 17th and 18th November 2008.

Kenneth Laidler, President of APID, said:
"APID has been formed to represent professional interior designers in the Gulf region and promotes the highest professional ideals of Interior Design to client bodies, whether governmental or private sectors, to industry, to its membership, and to society."

Mr. Laidler noted that APID aims to stand equally alongside other representative bodies and institutions. "We will participate in local and international events and we will be present and also encourage our members to participate in FITOUT."

Chris Fountain, Group Director of CMPi, said:
"The Association of Professional Interior Designers, is the first association of its kind in the Arabian Gulf and aims to have its presence in all the countries of the Middle East and one of its aims is to provide a platform for education and development within the design community through participation in exhibitions."

"APID will assist members in building connections within industry, that will help members expand their professional prospects by networking with colleagues and will give the design industry unified access to resources to market their design practice and Fit-Out Middle East offers the right environment to conduct business," Mr. Fountain said.

Given the amount of construction currently underway, there is great demand for fit-outs and CMPi's event focuses on the final stages of construction and development. Taking place in November 2008, the show will run alongside the established Working Buildings Middle East exhibition and conference series, in order to deliver the right mix of senior buyers and decision makers from across the Middle East region and beyond.

Exhibitors will include contractors, shop-fitters, manufacturers and interior design agencies. Visitors will be those responsible for the design and function of commercial and retail space, including developers, architects, designers, facilities professionals and operations managers.

The Fit-Out sector is directly aligned to the boom in construction now taking place across the Gulf region.
