Western Digital stores up excitement for Gitex 2008

Western Digital Corporation (WDC), a pioneer in data storage and a leader in the hard drive industry globally, will be celebrating their tenth year in the Middle East region at Gitex 2008 with tons of surprises in store.

For the first time, Western Digital will stand alone at Gitex armed with exciting new product launches, radio competitions, and displays.

Marking its presence at the main trade exhibition in the Middle East, Western Digital will be showcasing its existing and latest range of award winning internal and external plug and play drives in Rashid Hall, stand number F9-5, where visitors can experience the ever-evolving world of storage.

Western Digital will be demonstrating their latest technology innovations in the internal, external and multimedia product range for end user customers and channel partners. Products that will go on display will include the WD My Book Mirror Edition, WD My Book Studio and WD Green Power Drives which are made available in desktop, enterprise, CE and external hard drive implementations in capacities from 320GB upwards.

During Gitex 2008, Western Digital will be running several consumer led promotions as part of the Backup Awareness Campaign, including a daily radio show broadcasted live from the DWTC Halls, promoting the entire Branded Products Group of consumer storage drives along with daily prizes to be won (five WD My Passport Essentials will be up for grabs!).

The Backup Awareness campaign aimed at consumers and small businesses is designed to create greater awareness and understanding of the importance of safeguarding digital data and having reliable backup solutions in place well before disaster strikes- data loss!
