Etisalat and Research In Motion have announced the availability of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone in the Middle East. From October 7, Etisalat customers will have the opportunity to experience the smartphone, which has a next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor that makes short work of downloading e-mail attachments, streaming video and rendering web pages. They will be able to access various applications and use the phone for business and entertainment while staying connected through etisalat's high-speed packet access network with speeds of up to 7.2 megabytes per second, according to a press statement.
