  • PRESS RELEASE

More travellers from the Middle East region are booking their Eid breaks last minute and prefer holiday destinations within easy reach that offer a mix of luxury, first-rate shopping, and entertainment, say Hyatt executives.

Ideal Eid destinations with Hyatt properties include India, Nepal, Egypt and Turkey - all offering leading accommodation, shopping, and dining options.

"With a large amount of Eid breaks being booked last minute, travellers are looking for destinations that are easy to get to and offer a number of activities the whole family can enjoy," said Thierry Bertin, VP Sales & Marketing, Hyatt International - South West Asia.

Guests from the region can take advantage of unique Eid getaways from Hyatt Regency's select properties across the Middle East, Africa, and Southwest Asia - all within a four hour flight from the GCC.

A popular Eid holiday choice, Turkey is a short trip away and provides all the elements that make it a leading holiday destination.

The five star, 360-room Hyatt Regency Istanbul offers guests a spectacular setting overlooking the Bosphorus, just minutes away from the historic landmarks of the Old City, including Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace.

In addition, the hotel is home to Gaia Fitness Centre & Spa, offering a mix of centuries-old bathing tradition to a truly modern Spa and Hammam.

Middle East looking for history can take a trip to Delhi, India - one of the most ancient cities in the world.

The Hyatt Regency Delhi is a palatial complex that offers travellers a heightened level of luxury, accommodation, dining and entertainment services.

The deluxe seven storey Delhi hotel is in one of the capital's most exclusive residential and commercial districts and provides guests with a luxurious ambience while discovering the traditions of India.

For more adventurous travellers, Nepal's Kathmandu is an ideal weekend getaway destination.

Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is a luxury five star city resort hotel situated ten kilometres from the city centre on the road to Boudhanath Stupa - the most holy of Tibetan Buddhist shrines outside Tibet.

The hotel is also within close proximity to the business district and shopping areas.

The Boudhanath Stupa is within ten minutes walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel is also host to Club Oasis Spa, a sanctuary of calm in Kathmandu.

Travelers looking for a dynamic, fun-filled holiday can enjoy the popular resort location of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

Poised on the edge of an 'aqua oasis', the 35-hectare Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh resort hotel is embraced by the spectacular land and seascapes of Egypt's Sinai Peninsula.

The Hyatt Regency Sharm El Sheikh Resort Hotel is a popular destination for watersports and diving vacations.

The hotel is adjacent to Na'ama Bay and just ten minutes' drive from Sharm El Sheikh Airport.

The hotel is also host to Club Olympus fitness centre and spa.
