- PRESS RELEASE
The Association of Friends of the National Cancer Institute (AFNCI) is building a world-class pediatric facility dedicated to the care of children with cancer, where patients from all social, economic and ethnic background will benefit from a superior standard of healthcare.
In its quest to expand, AFNCI selected ECC to host its website, www.afnci.com, which features online payment for donations and information about the project.
Site availability and payment gateway facility were essential in choosing a hosting provider. ECC provided the robust platform necessary to handle credit card donations online, through its innovative e-commerce infrastructure.
ECC's e-business infrastructure isolates the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) processing necessary to handle e-payment, from the main server processing. The (SSL) acceleration platform performs the credit card processing, while maintaining the original server's high performance.
This architecture allows ECC's customers to offer their end-users a secure and standardized high level of service.
