Barclays Wealth appoints Head of MENAT for its International Business division

Barclays Wealth, the UK's leading wealth manager, has appointed Tony Sareen as Head of MENAT for its International division.

Mr Sareen has been at Barclays since 2000, where he worked as a Regional Director for Barclays Financial Planning where he managed a team of 11 Area Directors.

In his new role, Mr Sareen will be leading Wealth International's team in MENAT, ensuring the development of profitable client relationships and the continued expansion of the business.

He will be based in Dubai and will report directly into Managing Director and Head of Barclays Wealth International, Cameron Fowler, and also into Soha Nashaat, Managing Director and Head of Barclays Wealth in the Middle East.

Cameron Fowler commented,

MENAT is a key area of focus for the Wealth International business and Tony's leadership skills, combined with his experience in the regional coordination of extensive teams will be valuable as we continue in our strategy to develop the business in this area. During his time within Barclays Financial Planning, Mr Sareen was responsible for a 105-strong team that sat within his area.

He worked closely with Barclays Wealth International and other businesses across the Barclays Group.

Prior to working at Barclays, Mr Sareen worked at Pearl Assurance for five years, most recently as a District Manager.

He started his career with The Prudential Assurance Company as a Financial Consultant.

Barclays Wealth's International business is a leading provider of banking and investments to international clients.
