Maher Maksoud, Managing Director, SODIC, said:
"Cityscape is considered the pulse of the property market in the region thus a great opportunity to exhibit our properties. SODIC will highlight its involvement in diversified projects ranging from high-end villas, middle income housing, city-making, entertainment and tourism development."
The seventh annual Cityscape Dubai attracts regional and international investors, property developers, governmental and development authorities, leading architects, designers, consultants and all senior professionals involved in the property industry. It provides an annual forum that celebrates the very best in real estate, architecture, urban planning and design from around the world.
The booth is designed to look like a small version (16x16 -256 sqm) of the state-of-the-art SODIC Sales Centre on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road. The original stunning glass complex was designed by Eklego Design Ltd.
The launching of Eastown and Westown to the regional market is expected to create a buzz at the exhibition. These two urban developments are set to create hubs on both of Cairo's suburbs: Sheikh Zayed/Sixth of October City in the west and Kattameya/New Cairo to the east. The project will be combining residential, commercial, retail and entertainment facilities. The first phases of both projects are currently being designed by 24 local and international award winning architects such as Machado-Silvetti, Allies and Morrison, Shahira H. Fahmy Architects and The Jerde Partnership.
SODIC will also be showcasing Kattameya Plaza, offering exclusive apartments in a gated and landscaped community in New Cairo. Kattameya Plaza apartments will be delivered as turnkey / semi-furnished ready to move designer units ranging from 1 bedroom flats to 3 bedroom luxury penthouses. The development marks a new standard of contemporary living designed by world-class architects and designers; it offers the perfect solution for those seeking a healthy lifestyle with jogging path, multi purpose sports field, parks, swimming pools and low construction density along with the luxury and security of a gated residential community and the amenities of a flourishing suburb.
During the exhibit, SODIC will also be presenting the award-winning residential community project Allegria. The ultra high-end gated community is developed around a Greg Norman Signature Golf Course. The 1,000 plus villas are designed by some of the world's most distinguished architects the likes of Arquitechtonica and Michael Graves.
Allegria won the award for Best Development and Best Golf Course by the CNBC Arabian Property Awards for 2008. EDAW was also honoured with the Award of Merit from the American Society of Landscape Architects for their work on Allegria's masterplan. These awards validate the strength of the masterplan and the company's strength in delivering award-winning projects that put Egypt on the map.
