wasl announces sponsorship of 'Eid in Dubai'

wasl, the asset management group owned by Dubai Real Estate Corporation (DREC), today announced it will be the 'Support Sponsor for 'Eid in Dubai', an initiative by Dubai Shopping Festival office.

In addition, wasl will also be an exclusive sponsor for the Media Centre and the traditional "Fuwallat Al Eid".

"Fuwallat Al Eid" will be organised at several shopping malls, cinemas, and healthcare centres as part wasl's continous support towards the community during the 'Eid in Dubai' event launched by Dubai Shopping Festival Office to bring together various sections of the community with a wide range of exciting entertainment and retail concepts. "Fuwallat Al Eid" is an essential element of the Eid celebrations in the UAE and is inspired by the region's heritage.

'Eid in Dubai' will feature a series of family oriented events and traditional attractions, including activities for children, spectacular fireworks displays and concerts by international, Arab, South Asian, and Persian music groups. Adding to the festive spirit will be Fuwallat Al Eid, a custom that has been recorded through many generations and centers on welcoming guests with traditional delicacies on the day of Eid-Al-Fitr.

Al Mutawa added: "Eid is an important occasion for everyone in the wider community and we are keen to support the event and make this occasion memorable for both residents and visitors."

'Eid in Dubai' will be an annual calendar event, highlighting the Emirate's continuing efforts to create a destination that reflects its multi-cultural environment whilst preserving it's local and unique heritage.
