Intercontinental Mzaar wins the Golden Nugget

John Bamsey, InterContinental Hotels Group Chief Operating Officer Middle East & Africa, handed over the Golden Nugget to InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon and congratulated the team for all its effort.

The 6th and final piece of the Winning Ways jigsaw was awarded in recognition of the resort Corporate Social Responsibility directed by Sandy Chidiac, Training Manager.

This includes recent initiatives among which the creation of the "Committed to Green" doorknob hanger promoting ways to help reduce the resort's carbon footprint and the yearly Environmental Day aiming to protect the environment by deep-cleaning the neighboring areas.

Chidiac proudly completed the Jigsaw board with the final piece of the puzzle and announced:
"Everyone in the hotel has put a genuine touch of interest in this competition, hence giving us the opportunity to Do The Right Thing, Show We Care, Aim Higher, Celebrate The Difference and Work Better Together in partnership for the benefit of the environment."

These important steps towards improving our environment gave InterContinental Mzaar the opportunity to be the first IHG hotel in Lebanon and amongst the 10th in the Middle East to receive the Golden Nugget.

Joost Komen, In charge of hotel Operations concluded:
"Our strategy is to develop among our employees the sense of commitment with the gracious nature surrounding the resort and to pay honor to the majestic mountain. We have an important role in conserving the environment; we kept our promise through the years and will do our best to preserve the nature."
