The Middle East Education, Training Equipment and Solutions Exhibition & Symposium (Meetes) provides an unrivalled marketing platform for Saudi and International exhibitors to showcase their products to a wide profile of visitors from within the Kingdom and neighbouring countries.
The 14th edition of Meetes will take place in Jeddah from 15 - 18 March 2009, and the organisers, Al Harithy Company for Exhibitions, are confident that it promises to be another huge success with educationalists as bookings and enquiries already exceed those of previous years.
Meetes'08 concluded to great acclaim after four days of busy trading. The 8,700 visitors were delighted by the large international participation that included key groups from Canada, Cyprus, Malaysia and the UK, as well as numerous individual exhibitors from Australia, France, Germany, India, Ireland, New Zealand and Switzerland. International exhibitors were complimented by leading Arab and Saudi participants that included: Technical and Vocational Training Corporation-TVTC, King Abdul Aziz University, Batterjee Medical College, Effat College and Saudi Japanese Automobile High Institute.
William Prieto-Parra, International Manager of British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA), said he was very satisfied with the quality of turnout at the show 'I am very pleased with my participation and intend to return to the event next year'.
The Canadian group participation, organised by Canadian Education Network (CEN), reported steady business throughout the exhibition with Mr. Jason Chrysomilides, Senior Manager of CEN, commenting 'Meetes is the only truly dedicated education show in the Kingdom and therefore features annually in our calendar of events.'
The wide range of products and services encompasses the entire spectrum of education and training, a delighted visitor Muhammad Abdul Majid, a Saudi educationist, remarked of Meetes'08 'The show is impressive and the new technologies exhibited by major overseas participants will immensely benefit our school, college and university students.'
With its burgeoning population, the Saudi Government, which allocated a massive US$28 billion to Education and Manpower Development in 2008, is committed to increased expenditure across the entire education system as well as encouraging and developing the private sector role, ensuring the continued success of the long established Meetes exhibition.
