  • PRESS RELEASE

In line with its strategic focus to enhance IP based Ethernet offerings, Etisalat announced a significant restructuring of pricing for its IP Connect service reducing prices of rentals by almost 70% for access links thereby giving businesses increased savings and the incentive to go in for a advanced Ethernet based IP connectivity network.

The new prices effective started October 1, 2008.

Simultaneously, Etisalat has also introduced new one year contract prices for access links which are 15% lower than standard monthly contract rentals.

Etisalat has also changed the billing frequency so that customers can now pay on a monthly rental basis rather than quarterly to reduce the burden on their cash flow.

Abdulla Hashim, VP, Enterprise Solutions, Etisalat, said:

"New revised pricing and billing changes are meant to give our customers increased savings and flexible payment schedules. With this, businesses across the UAE can now reap the advantages of IP Connect which gives them a private and secure network that can offer flexible connectivity with speeds of upto 1Gb between offices nationally or internationally."

He added, "Customers can now add new sites to their network, and be sure that IP Connect will match the scale of their operations, with costs no longer limiting their connectivity requirements".

The IP Connect service is offered over Etisalat's secure MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching) network and offers customers the flexibility of direct inter-branch communication rather than branch to head office only.

The service also allows dedicated performance to different types of traffic on the customers private network be it voice, video and data applications, by which businesses can prioritize voice and video over data transmission.
