- PRESS RELEASE
IBM Software Group and Gulf Business Machines (GBM), IBMs general marketing and services representative in the Gulf, announced today that Raqmiyat has been named as a Top Contributor Initiative (TCI) business partner in the UAE.
Raqmiyat (a leading value-added reseller of advanced software technology solutions) will benefit from co-marketing funds, bonus and other business partner incentives, along with partner education programmes. The TCI programme helps Raqmiyat to actively approach and service its customers, as well as reward it for its selling efforts.
With the Top Contributor Initiative programme, we are investing in the technical and marketing skills of resellers such as Raqmiyat, to ensure that they have the support to provide their customers with solutions that provide a real business benefit to their bottom line, said Amin Farid, Software Group Channel Manager, IBM Middle East and North/West Africa.
The initiative will provide Raqmiyat with a percentage of marketing co-funding from IBM Middle East to increase sales, grow market share, penetrate new markets and expand its business with IBM software technologies. Raqmiyat will also benefit from performance bonuses, where it sets its own business goals and IBM rewards it for achieving or exceeding these targets.
Strong channel support programs such as TCI, along with IBMs powerful software technology designed to meet the performance and budget needs of businesses in the Middle East will help us expand our reach in the market and provide a better service to our customers, said Tapas Roy, Chief Operating Officer, Raqmiyat.
Raqmiyat provides a wide scope of vertical industry solutions for financial institutions, government and public sector establishments, as well as manufacturing and construction companies in the UAE. It also offers a range of value-added services to its solution offerings, including implementation, support and project management.
Raqmiyat has shown a great deal of commitment in adopting a business strategy that focuses on promoting their end-to-end solutions that run on IBM software technology to small and large organisations alike. We are very pleased to have them on board the TCI programme, and look forward to working closely with them to ensure that they benefit from the educational and marketing support TCI provides, said Soubhi Chebib, director of IBM brands, Gulf Business Machines.
