Dubai-based developer Nakheel has announced plans to build the world's tallest tower in the emirate, reported Gulf News. The one-kilometre high Nakheel Harbour and Tower, which will become the centrepiece of a 270-hectare community in the heart of 'New Dubai' near Jebel Ali, will surpass Burj Dubai's estimated final height of about 800m. The tower will have more than 200 floors and will take an estimated 500,000 cubic metres of concrete to construct.
