Jacky's top electronics retailer at mall's promotions

Sahara Centre, which opened on February 20 this year, launched three promotions in the second half of the year. The first, held from September 1 to 30, was the 'Back to School' promotion, which offered shoppers the chance to win a laptop every day of the promotion's duration.

The next promotion was held the following month. This was the 'Go for Home Fashion', which started on October 6 and ended on November 6, and it was followed by the 'Go for the Curisers' promotion, which spanned the Ramadan-Eid period and offered the chance to win Toyota Landcruisers.

Jacky's was one of the first stores to open in Sahara Centre -- its opening in the mall marking the division's first foray into Sharjah. The Jacky's outlet has received a steady flow of shoppers, with numbers increasing over the promotional periods, said Soni Tolani, Executive Director, Jacky's Electronics LLC.

"We sell a complete range of electronics, including IT, photographic and other appliances. IT products are among our top sellers at our Sahara store. We are very encouraged by this trend and will make sure that shoppers at our store in Sharjah will have the same wide choice we offer at all our other stores," Tolani said.

The Jacky's retail division, said Shivam Goyal, Retail Manager, Jacky's Electronics LLC, was gearing up for another exciting year and had mapped out plans leading up to Ramadan promotions 2003. "The major thrust of our 2003 retail campaign is the promotion of our IT product range. Jacky's customers already know our quality and service and we would like to bring this awareness to the wider UAE market," he said.

In 2003, he added, Jacky's would conclusively prove itself to be the venue for electronics and IT shoppers -- not only through its wide product range, but through its service. The special promotions Jacky's will run through the year will coincide with the vacation and back-to-school periods -- from July to September - and will include special GITEX offers.
