Based on the success of the first round of the business forum held in Dubai last October where businessmen from both Dubai and Hamburg worked on ways to enhance mutual cooperation and to explore more business opportunities and activities, the forthcoming December 18-19 Forum is seen as an extended opportunity to review and understand the thriving business cultures and the endless scope of establishing newer partnerships between the two cities and their respective countries.
Speakers at the Forum including Khaled Al Kamda, CEO of Dubai Islamic Bank who will be talking about the Financial sector while Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO, Empower, Ali Bin Towaih, Director of Sustainable Energy and Environment Division (SEED) - TECOM Investments and Saeed Khoory, Group Chief Executive, ENOC, will be talking about the Energy sector. The Healthcare sector will be represented by Haidar Al Yousuf, Transition Director, Dubai Health Authority and Abdullatif Al Sayegh, CEO, Arab Media
Group and Omar Hijazi, CEO, Tejari on the Media/IT sector while Abdullah Al Qurashi, CEO, Dubai Aviation City & Dubai Logistics City, Amer Ali, CEO, Dubai Maritime City, and Ibrahim Al Janahi, Senior Vice-President, Commercial Sales, Jafza, will give their presentations on Logistics & Foreign Trade scenario in Dubai.
HE Eng Hamad Buamim sai:

Buamim also pointed out that the Forum is bound to be yet another success story and looking at its objectives of matching of major players and identifying specific sectors of common interest from both sides, one of the Forum's basic objectives is the transfer of German knowledge and technology to the country and to offer Dubai's services of a re-export destination to the hosts.

There are 511 German companies operating in Dubai as Dubai's non-oil trade with Germany reached Dhs28bn in 2007.
