The Royal Group appoints new CEO of Reem Emirates Aluminum

Bruce will be responsible for the continued growth of the core business and ensuring that REA is well positioned to meet the demand for energy-saving building technologies created by initiatives such as Estidama and Masdar.

Australian-born Bruce was promoted from the position of REA general manager and brings more than 25 years experience in the engineering, design and manufacturing of unitised curtain wall construction to the role.

Commenting on the potential for REA which designs and manufactures double skin aluminium wall panels from its 80,000 square metre complex in Abu Dhabi to capitalise on the regional shift towards sustainable technologies, Bruce said, "We have developed proven, cost-effective, energy saving technologies that will become the norm across forward-thinking places like Abu Dhabi which are already implementing sustainability guidelines.

"We have patented technologies which have been validated internationally and are ready to take to the market in the Middle East. I am delighted with my promotion to CEO, which reflects the Royal Group's confidence in our ability to rapidly diversify and expand our sustainable building concept."
