HP appoints Anil Kumar as General Manager for Personal Systems Group for Middle East

HP Middle East today announced the appointment of Anil Kumar as General Manager of Personal Systems Group (PSG) for the Middle East effective immediately.

HP's Personal Systems Group is responsible for supplying simple, reliable and affordable personal computing solutions and devices for home and business use. This group includes desktop PCs, notebooks, workstations, thin clients, handhelds, displays, personal devices and emerging technologies.

Anil, who previously was the Category Manager for Consumer and Commercial Products for HP Middle East, has over 20 years experience in the IT industry and will be responsible for managing the 11 countries in the region including the countries of GCC and Levant.

"Anil has been a key member of the Middle East team for the last seven years and is a key contributor to the PSG growth in the region. Over the last seven years, he has successfully managed positions in the sales, channel and category teams and we are pleased to appoint him to take the PSG Middle East to the next stage." Said Jos Brenkel, Vice President, PSG, HP, Mediterranean, Middle East and Africa.

Kumar priorities for the next 12 months are to focus on enhancing the HP experience for consumers, channel partners and corporate & SMB customers. "This will be achieved through the expansion of our Store-in-Store initiatives across the region, so consumers can profit from more hands-on experience especially on our niche products. We will continue to expand our presence in Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Levant and focus on improving the ROI for our customers through virtualization solutions and Green PC initiatives" says Anil Kumar.

Anil replaces Serdar Urcar who has begun his new role as Managing Director and TSG lead at HP Turkey.
