The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be provided with an E-Library that holds 49 training courses for ministry and embassy employees worldwide. The training courses cover a wide base of managerial principles tackling human resources, leadership, management and customer service basics and techniques.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Amani Jarrar, Director of administrative development, King Abdullah II Award Office for Excellence and Transparency, and on behalf of VTCDC, Mr. Sameer Barhoumah, Center Manager. The agreement will be valid for one year through internet access at the Ministry and diplomatic missions.
The E-Learning program is an international program offering over 2500 training courses in a diversified range of specialities including IT, Management, and Computer Applications etc… Access to the courses is offered through username/password entry enabling all users to access any course and subject with the opportunity to attend interactive lectures, which are concluded with evaluation tests and certificates honouring students scoring an average over 60%. The E-Learning program plays a significant role in boosting organizational performance and enhancing outcomes in a cost-effective and time saving manner.
In light of this agreement, Dr. Jarrar stated 'We are looking forward to reap fruitful outcomes of this agreement. We will consolidate and support the staff's technical skills, that will further enhance the ministry's performance'. On the other hand, Mr. Barhoumeh commended this agreement and reported ' VTCDC aims through this involvement to achieve the Ministry's demands and meet all its requirements, especially since the Center enjoys one of the richest qualifying expertise worldwide'.
It is also worth mentioning that the Ministry has benefited from an E-Library provided by VTCDC last year. Such electronic training entails the provision of a wide base of training topics including Computer, Managerial streams with optimum convenience at the comfort of any location intended by the trainee, whether it is the work place or their homes. Accordingly, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be the first ministry to adopt E-Learning methodologies, which stems from the Ministry's interest in knowledge and Human Resource Management coinciding with King Abdullah II Award for Excellence in Government Performance and Transparency.

In an effort highlighting private and public sector collaboration in the E-Training sector, Vocational Training and Career Development Center (VTCDC) signed an agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on September 15th, 2008.
