Amanda Drummond appointed Regional Director, Marketing Middle East & Africa, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts

Brian Richardson, Vice President, Brand Marketing & Communications for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Kent Cooper, Vice President, Regional Hotel Sales for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Middle East & Africa, are pleased to announce the appointment of Amanda Drummond as Regional Director, Marketing, Middle East & Africa for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

In her new role, Drummond will be involved in overseeing regional marketing and promotional activities, as well as ensuring that Fairmont's brand dimensions are consistently reinforced throughout the Middle East and Africa in both operating and transitional hotels.
Drummond brings over seven years of hospitality experience to this position, and has held progressive positions in global five star properties under Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including Sheraton Waikiki and the adjacent Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii, Sheraton Auckland Hotel & Towers in New Zealand, and Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket in Thailand.
It was in her role as Marketing Communications Manager at Sheraton Auckland Hotel & Towers, where she was directly involved in rebranding this property to The Langham Hotel, Auckland in 2005.
She joined Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in January 2007 as Director, Communications for the Fairmont Dubai, overseeing the hotel's communications and marketing programme, which included all advertising, promotions, sponsorships and events, database marketing and media relationships.
Drummond holds a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management (BHM) from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.
