Commenting on the subject, Sheikh Abdullah bin Fahid Al Shakrah, Al Hanoo Holdings Chairman, said:
"We weren't surprised by the huge interest in Al Nujoom Islands project, as many stakeholders, real estate experts and investors made frequent visits to the project even before the start of Cityscape Dubai exhibition, admiring not only the concept, but also the amount of success that has been achieved."
"Naturally, we witnessed a high demand for project amenities, especially seeing as the project is no longer simply an idea on paper, but has become a reality. With its vast green spaces, which forms 50% of the project, exquisite entertainment areas and beautiful landscape, where the marine environment is successfully combined with the land areas, Al Nujoom Islands will play an important role in changing the face of tourism in the emirate of Sharjah", he added.
Al Hanoo Holdings has recently finished linking the islands of Al Nujoom Islands with the Geographical Information System (GIS), and has used 2.3 million tons of rock to line up the water canals. The first stage of the water canal development has now reached a 95% completion rate.
Reclamation work for Al Nujoom Islands is also almost complete, with Al Hanoo putting the final touches to the first phase before entering the second stage, which will take approximately two and a half years to complete. Development works for the whole project is expected to be complete by 2010.
