DM updates Used Car Market website

The Properties Department in Dubai Municipality is currently redesigning the website of its Used Car Market at Warsan, www.usedcars.ae by adding a number of new user-friendly features aimed at simplifying the process of buying and selling new and used cars available at more than 200 showrooms in the market.
"The new site is characteristic with its professionalism and easy access to all information related to the preferred cars of the visitor whether it is new, used or imported from other countries," he said.
Hareb said the Used Car Complex at Warsan currently accommodates all approved new car selling agents in the emirate of Dubai that comes to 204 showrooms with a total area of 1 million square metres.
As far as the changes in the website he said there will be more space for carrying an increased number of photos of cars displayed in the market, which will ultimately give more choices for the visitor.
"There will be options for making comparison between the chosen cars as far as their prices, types and years of manufacturing. In addition to that it would be possible for the visitor to acquaint with the Used Car Market location by clicking on the link for maps of all the showrooms in the market and send emails to a particular showroom by just one click," said Hareb.
The additional features also include the option for calculating the differences in the interest rates of the car loans from banks and financial establishments.
The website also provides information on all services available in the Used Car Market such as names of all showrooms, the cars displayed there for sale with photos, specifications and prices, auction service, through which cars are auctioned weekly, insurance companies, technical tests, traffic police department services and driving school services.
The website also provides a service called "Your Eyes on the Showroom," through which the visitor can register in the site and select specifications of the preferred car.
The visitor will be sent electronic messages instantly thanking for registration followed by information about the requested vehicle with its specifications and photo to the visitor's email.
The Used Car Market was established by the Municipality in 1999 with 130 showrooms.
The second phase of the project was implemented in 2006 by adding 74 more showrooms for sale and purchase of cars at one place.
The Market is provided with all related services such as auction area, vehicle testing section, vehicle licensing section, insurance companies, vehicle finance establishments and even a driving institute.
