Applicants will have to enter the necessary information as indicated when they file their application online and will automatically receive the health insurance cover related to the type of visa they are applying for.

As previously announced by the DNRD and in a bid to secure visitors' stay in the country as per the new visa regulations, health insurance cover is one of the mandatory requirements to enter the country.

Subsequently, DNRD had singed two memoranda of understanding (MoU) with Aman Insurance Company and Oman Insurance Company to offer easy access to the health insurance providers within the DNRD premises, as a value-added service for all applicants.

The two companies will now extend their services to offer health insurance policies associated with all online visas.

Colonel Eid Al Falasi, Assistant Director of DNRD for Financial and Administrative Affairs said:

"In tandem with DNRD's strategy of simplifying procedures for its customers, we wanted to ensure that we offer the best and most comprehensive service to our customers in the shortest possible time frame."

On the other hand, applicants who file their applications in person through the typing centers at the DNRD headquarters and external centers reserve the right to select the insurance company of their choice as long as they are in line with the terms and framework of the health insurance policies previously declared by the Department.
