Dubai Pharmaceuticals & Health Equipment sector elects representative committee

Under the supervision of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai's Pharmaceuticals & Health Equipment Trading Business Group, elected a representative committee of 12 industry executives in a meeting held yesterday at DCCI.
Mr Ahmed Al Banna, Assistant Director General for Studies and International Affairs at DCCI, chaired yesterday's meeting.
He said: "This elected committee will be playing a key role in voicing out the concerns and views of the group members it represents. Moreover, It will be working to establish a clear dialogue with the Chamber, and other local and federal authorities."
Elected to sit on the executive panel of the Pharmaceuticals & Health Equipment Trading Business Group are: Anil Kumar Matai, General Manager of Globalpharma Co., Sadaat Al Mahdi, MD of Balsam Drugs & Medical Store, Mahmoud Hefny, GM of METTC, B.R Shetty, MD of New Medical Centre Trading Establishment, Rashad Al Mossa Deputy Managing Director of Gulf Drugs Establishment, Faisal Belhoul, MD, Belhoul Enterprises, Mohammed Khaled Al Daour, General Manager of Juma Al Majid Est. EPS Division, Mehdi al Hassani, MD of Al Zahrawi Medical, Dr. Abdulla Al Yousef, Assistant Managing Director of Al Mazroui Medical and Chemical Supplies, Dr. Alaa Sedrak, GM of Metromed-Metropolitan Medical Marketing, Jan Felton, Business Development Director of Modern Pharamceutical; and Mohammed Yusuf, GM Aisa Pharmacy LLC.
Committee member Faisal Belhoul, of Belhoul Enterprises, said that he hoped the newly elected committee would have a positive influence on decision makers in the sector.
Working towards addressing the concerns of group members, and enhancing the levels of communication between the group and the Chamber, as well as establishing a collateral approach to various issues were among his priorities for the group.
A total of seven new Dubai-based business groups were set up in October and November. The new groups represent the foodstuffs trading sector, land transport sector, building materials trading and manufacturing, printing and publishing, food and beverages manufacturing, exhibitions and conventions, as well as pharmaceuticals and health equipments trading,
During phase two of the new business group programme, each group will reconvene at DCCI to elect a panel of between eight to 12 representatives.
