Emirates extends its commitment to India

Continuing its support of key golfing events across the world and its commitment to India, Emirates, the Dubai-based global airline, will once again be the Official Airline of the Hero Honda Indian Open.

The tournament which tees off at the Delhi Golf Club on Thursday, 9th October, has attracted a stellar line-up of golfers, including defending champion Jyoti Randhawa, who is looking for a hat-trick in the Hero Honda Indian Open; Jeev Milkha Singh; Asian Tour Order of Merit leader Mark Brown; Emirates-sponsored golfers Ross Bain and Yasin Ali and PGA US Tour star Daniel Chopra.

Emirates' golfing year began in January with the Dubai Desert Classic followed by the Asian Open in Shanghai in April, before heading to Europe for the Austrian Open and the BMW International in Munich.

Salem Obaidalla, Emirates' Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, West Asia, Indian Ocean and Africa, said:

Emirates has lined up a range of activities designed to engage tournament attendees including an Emirates Golf Clinic, featuring golfing lessons from two golf pros, and any tournament spectator spotted wearing an Emirates cap will be eligible to enter a raffle to win two Business Class tickets to Dubai.

Emirates has been an avid supporter of golf worldwide and in addition to the Hero Honda Indian Open, is the Official Airline of a further nine golf tournaments around the world including the Austrian Open, BMW International Open, Dubai Desert Classic, BMW Asian Open, Malaysian Open, The Hong Kong Open, Volvo Asian Masters, Australian PGA Championship and the Dubai Ladies Masters. Emirates is also a global supporter of cricket, football, rugby, horse racing and tennis.
