Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Arif Alharmi, Chief Executive Officer, Amlak Finance, said:
"We are honored to receive this prestigious award and I would like to thank our staff at Amlak for their efforts, without which this would not have been possible. This Award will leverage our position as the largest real estate financer in the region."
Amlak won this award from a highly competitive list of contenders for its excellent performance and business expansion over the last ten months. Amlak's half yearly net profit saw an increase of 155% and total assets, as of June 2008, stood at an astounding Dhs14.2bn, a growth of 133% compared to Dhs6.1bn as at June 2007. Amlak has also set its global footprint in various international markets such as Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and plans to commence operations in Jordan and Qatar.
Since its inception in 2000, Amlak has come a long way to emerge as the largest real estate financer in the region. Over the last eight years Amlak has lead the market with several innovative products, the latest of which was the launch of Amlak Plus, thereby making financial services easier for consumers to own their dream home.
Alharmi added, "This year has been a challenging period for us during which Amlak has witnessed several milestones. From being listed in the Golden category by the Securities & Commodities Authority (SCA) for our transparency in disclosing the financial statements for 2007, to supporting the Real Estate Regulatory Authority in its awareness campaign to increase investor confidence in Dubai's property market, Amlak stood clearly ahead of others in the industry and I look forward to many more achievements in the coming years."
The Euromoney award is yet another feat added to Amlak Finance's long history of providing the best real estate financial services to its customers and its relentless efforts to raise the bar of the industry through innovative and pioneering products.
