The one- day event is being organised in collaboration with International Medical Sciences Academy (IMSA) and UAE Association for Dental Education and Research (UAEADER).
H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Chancellor of RAK Medical and Health Sciences University, will inaugurate the International Medical Sciences Academy Conference 2008 (IMSACON 2008) and the symposium.
The symposium is targeted at medical and dental practitioners and other health care workers in UAE. International and local speakers from UK, India, Pakistan and UAE will participate.
Professor S R Prabhu, Dean of RAK College of Dental Sciences, said RAKCODS is very keen to support UAE Government's ongoing efforts in curbing tobacco use.

RAK College of Dental Sciences (RAKCODS), a constituent college of the RAK Medical and Health Sciences University, will organise a symposium on 'Tobacco and Oral Cancer' on Saturday, 11th October, 2008 at RAK Hotel.
