The Women Committee at Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) hosted an open breakfast and Ramadan gathering attended by folks of female employees and wives of RTA employees.

During the event engineer Maitha bin Adai, CEO of RTA Traffic and Roads Agency and Chairperson of Women Committee, called upon RTA Women Committee members, female employees and attendants to boost their inter-relations, not only during events, Eids and Ramadan but also throughout the year.

Maitha said:
"It is important to hold these get-together events on regular basis as a means of interaction between Women Committee and all female employees of the RTA, and attend to their occupational, cultural and social requirements. The Committee is keen on supporting all RTA female employees through providing appropriate and comfortable working conditions."


She added, "Women Committee has many programmes to upgrade the status of female employees who contribute to realizing the objectives and strategic goals of the RTA through various means. These include contributing to the advancement of women activities in social, cultural or sports fields, as well as enhancing the profile of the RTA in the community through effective involvement by the Committee in women events, social activities and philanthropic works."

"The Committee is implementing an integrated work plan to prepare and promote awareness programmes highlighting the role of women in cultural, social and sports fields. It also seeks to establish fast links with local or international organizations to share information and expertise, and bolster the efforts of RTA female employees," Maitha concluded.
