100,000 motorists expected to use UAE Goes Green toll-free Green Line

As part of the ongoing UAE Goes Green public awareness campaign to support the changeover from leaded to unleaded gasoline from January 1, 2003, The Committee on Public Awareness for the Introduction of Unleaded Gasoline today launched the toll-free green line information service 8006999 and the www.uaegoesgreen.com website.
"People rely on the Committee to provide them with reliable information in the most convenient way. The UAE Goes Green campaign has combined the Motorist Guidebook, the toll-free green line, the www.uaegoesgreen.com website and specially trained service station staff to provide motorists with relevant information in as many ways as possible."said Dr Saad Al Numairy, Environmental advisor for the Federal Environmental Agency and Chairman of The Committee on Public Awareness for the Introduction of Unleaded Gasoline.
"The UAE Goes Green campaign is a vital step towards our goal of a totally lead free environment." he concluded.
Speaking about the toll-free green line today, Mr. Mohammed Bamakhrama, General Manager of The Contact Centre, Etisalat's call centre facility, said , "We are delighted to be working with The Committee on Public Awareness for the Introduction of Unleaded Gasoline on this landmark project. We have identified call center outsourcing as one of our key new business opportunities and working with such a high profile client underlines the potential of our state-of-the-art facility."
"We have worked closely with the committee over the last few weeks to ensure our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are fully trained in all aspects of the awareness programme," he added. "We estimate that we will receive as many as 100,000 callers but we have more than sufficient capacity to answer them all quickly and efficiently" concluded Bamakhrama.
The toll-free green line 8006999 is available from 8am until 11pm, seven days a week.
Reflecting the environmental theme of the UAE Goes Green advertising campaign, the official website www.uaegoesgreen.com is now live. The bi-lingual website reflects the content of the recently launched Motorist guidebook, including frequently asked questions and provides a comprehensive motor listing which details cars compatibility with unleaded gasoline. For easy reference, the web site is divided into sections such as - Introduction, Frequently Asked Questions, Motor Listing, Lead Substitute Additive, and The Newsroom. There is also a Contact Us section where the users can submit their questions and the committee will reply by e-mail.
