'With the participation of leading car companies in Oman, Motor Show 2008 will be a grand spectacle of the latest and most advanced vehicle models from the world's major auto manufacturers,' said C.J. Paul, General Manager of Omanexpo LLC, the company that first launched the Motor Show in the sultanate way back in 1990.
Paul pointed out that the four-day exhibition will showcase a wide range of globally known vehicle brands as well as various types of vehicles that are now available in the local market.
He stressed that Motor Show 2008 will be an opportunity for all would-be car buyers and motoring enthusiasts to check out the sophisticated features of the latest sports utility vehicles (SUVs), sedans and hatchbacks, 4-wheel drives, commercial vehicles, pickup trucks, station wagons, sports cars and luxury vehicles.
In addition to all types of vehicles, Motor Show 2008 will also feature a wide selection of auto parts and accessories as well as innovative services and products for car owners.
Specifically, among the products that visitors will see at the exhibition are automotive tyres, air-conditioning systems, motor oils and lubricants, security systems, auto paints and polishes, car radios and other entertainment systems.
Financial institutions and insurance firms will also be on hand to offer financing options and motor insurance packages.
'The display of everything related to motoring will ensure that Motor Show 2008 will truly serve the interests of the vibrant auto industry here in Oman,' Paul explained.
'The event will also reflect the continued growth of the industry by highlighting the sultanate's role as an attractive market for the world's latest car models.'
With only less than two months to go before the opening of the exhibition, preparations are now shifting into high gear to ensure that Motor Show 2008 will be a fulfilling and exciting experience for everyone.
According to Ashit I. Barnes, Sales Manager of Omanexpo LLC, various types of motoring-related activities will be conducted during the event to effectively draw huge crowds of motoring enthusiasts to the exhibition centre.
The planned activities include a 4-wheel drive test course, driving simulation games, and daily test drives of new vehicle models.
Motor Show 2008 is supported by V-Kool Oman as the platinum sponsor, Ahli Bank as the floor plan sponsor, and Automan as the official magazine.
