For the first time in the Middle East, the International Conference for Ancient Studies will be taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and will revolve around the topic of The Mysteries of Ancient Civilisations.

Some of the speakers are expected to make significant announcements during the conference about major discoveries made in 2007 and 2008 in Egypt and South America respectively which could literally require a re-write of history.

gWe are bringing top quality experts to talk about subjects that in fact should interest us all. Our past as the Human race, with all its mysteries and lost knowledge, can teach us a great deal about our future as well,' said Dr. Mohammed Naeemat, Chairman of Adbox Events, the organisers of the conference.

'The city of the future (Dubai) should have a firm grasp of the history of the great civilisations of the past. We can learn from their mistakes and experiences', he added.

The speakers are all prominent international authorities in their respective subjects and are involved in several continuous research projects happening at the moment. Two major discoveries, one in Egypt and one in South America, will be announced and described to the World for the first time during the conference.

'We expect the conference to be full of surprises and with the right mix of education and entertainment. Attendees will experience history in the making through the eyes of the experts and discoverers of amazing and sometimes controversial evidence that there is more to human history than we know today.

Discoveries made in South America or in Egypt are in fact of everyone's concern since we all share a common distant past. For us it is important that such discoveries are revealed as it shows that the world is in fact a very small place even from a cultural and anthropological perspective', said the Trade Consul of Chile, Jean-Paul Tarud-Kuborn, one of the sponsors of the event.

A teaser for the event is expected in early November, when Robert Bauval, one of the leading authorities in Egyptology and Archaeoastronomy and whose books are used to inspire Hollywood productions, will make a brief appearance in Dubai to reveal some more about the mysteries to be unveiled at the conference.
