CMPi UAE partners with Aujan Industries to deliver Barbican Turbo - the ultimate auto festival
- United Arab Emirates: Monday, October 13 - 2008 at 10:14
- PRESS RELEASE
In a sign of support for the Middle East's premier auto and custom car festival, Aujan Industries' rebel brand Barbican is to be the headline partner for CMPi's TURBO event.
"We want to remain relevant to our target audience and connect with them in ways they relate to. Barbican has developed a strong brand following through our marketing firsts, be it through online video sharing or shooting TV ads using real people instead of actors. Partnering with CMPi for Barbican TURBO is a natural step in our overall communications direction, which is to speak to young people in their own language," explains Ahmed Shaboury, Aujan Industries' Marketing Manager.
Barbican's sponsorship of Barbican TURBO follows on previous marketing firsts which include the brand's 'Supe-Up My Ride' viral competition where contestants were invited to upload video clips of their run-down vehicles, with winners having their wrecks transformed into flashy customized cars. Barbican was also the sponsor of MBC 1's car customization show Dale3 Sayartak.
"Barbican is one of the strongest brands in the Middle East, and has developed a cult-like status amongst the youth market. The combination of Barbican and TURBO makes perfect sense to us, and we're excited to have them on board," said Kent Daniels, Marketing Director, Barbican TURBO.
For the first time in the Middle East enthusiasts will have the chance to see if their own motors can match up to those of the pros, with the 'Top 100' and 'Dyno Shoot Out' competitions. Entry is open to everyone, and for more information and registration please visit, www.barbicanturbo.com
Debuting at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre between 13th and 15th of November 2008 Barbican Turbo, the first custom car meet in the region, is expected to attract thousands of car enthusiasts from across the Middle East.
