Raya enters new strategic alliances to expand in Africa & the Middle East

Medhat Khalil, Chairman & CEO of Raya Holding announced Raya Group has entered several strategic alliances to market its services and software programs in Africa and to market professional and consulting services in the Levant region.

He also added that Raya is currently studying other markets in the region and looking for ways to cooperate with the local companies there. Raya had previously succeeded in winning contracts for projects in Africa and the Middle East and delivering several of them. Such projects include Central Bank of Syria and the mobile phone services company Syriatel in Syria, Central Bank of Jordan and the mobile phone services company Fastlink for mobile phone services in Jordan, installation and training on Oracle E-business applications and a project in the mobile phone services company Djezzi in Algeria, and other projects in information technology and telecommunications in Tunesia and Marocco. Worth mentioning is that Raya Holding is an Egyptian company including Arab investments, competing with Indian and European companies in winning such projects. In addition to the advantages of common language and culture that facilitate accurate implementation of this projects, Raya also stands out through a professional integrated scope that covers all technology and telecommunications operations. Such projects realize new revenue streams and increased exposure to competing companies in external markets which leads to more professionalism and adherence to international standards.

This regional expansion aims at creating greater opportunities for growth through the export of professional services expertise that Raya's subsidiaries acquired throughout the past years in large sophisticated projects in the various sectors of the Egyptian market, of which the banking, manufacturing, petroleum, telecommunications and the e-government are the most important sectors. According to Tarek Zidan, director of International Operations in Raya Holding declared that in the coming period, Raya will focus on utilizing its channels in the region to export services such as development and implementation of applications, professional services to establish information systems, outsourcing, in addition to consultancy in the field of call center management. He further added that the company will expand regionally in IT training services through export of a number of training hours by Microsoft certified instructors in Raya branches in the Middle East or through specialized training centers in the region. In addition, providing a touristic experience to the applicants seeking to enroll in Raya Academy through training courses in resorts such as Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh.
