Mr. Abdulellah Al-Qassimi, Acting Chief Executive, Tamkeen, said:
'Our decision to award the contract to GBM was based on the solution offered containing leading technologies from IBM and Cisco to ensure 24x7 availability of mission-critical systems. After evaluating a number of solution providers and integrators in the market, we chose GBM for this project given their expertise in implementing similar projects. GBM was quick to understand our requirements and came up with an extensive and scalable plan to address the new infrastructure.'

Gulf Business Machines is the sole distributor for IBM in the region, as well as a unique Cisco Gold partner.
The solution for Tamkeen contains cutting-edge IBM and Cisco technology, including IBM blade center technology, Storage Area Network (SAN), Tivoli Storage Manager for Backup and a Document Management solution. Components from Cisco include the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), IP Telephony and Security. The entire solution offers Tamkeen reliability, scalability, flexibility and security along with the option to effortlessly expand its infrastructure for future growth.
