Ahmed Salman new Media Section Head at DM

Ahmed Salman Hassan Al Salman has been appointed the new Head of Media Section in the Corporate Marketing and Relations Department at Dubai Municipality.
Salman will take up the responsibilities of managing the media affairs of the Municipality to project its activities, advertisements, publicity materials, advertisement and public awareness campaigns and programmes, TV programmes, guidance and awareness materials, photographs and its archives and other activities in coordination with the concerned organizational units.
Salman, who possess a Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication from the UAE University, has been working as the Head of Media and Documentation Section in the UAE Municipalities Secretariat since 2003 before joining Dubai Municipality for the second time.
Salman worked in the Municipality in different capacities from 1995 to 2000 and later joined the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information as Culture Coordinator and Head of Public Relations and Media Department and continued there from 2000 to 2003. Salman has been the founder member of the Regional Office of Arab Radio Federation. He was also Media Consultant to a number of NGOs in the country.
Marzouqi, who has been appointed as Head of Corporate Marketing and Exhibitions Section, will take up the responsibility of implementing the Municipality policies, regulations and procedures regarding corporate marketing, holding exhibitions aimed at introducing different activities of the Municipality, developing and implementing the marketing tasks and activities such as market research, marketing plans, marketing campaigns, event management and corporate identity in order to achieve a corporate future for the Municipality.
Marzouqi will also supervise the preparation of studies and researches related to the formulation of effective corporate strategies to introduce the activities and services of the Municipality. He will also supervise the management and organization of exhibitions that are conducted or participated by the Municipality and its different organizational units. He will also supervise the implementation of the policies regarding communication and guidance of corporate identity.
Marzouqi joined the Municipality in April 2000 as Head of Information and Publication Unit and was later promoted as Head of Media Section. He has worked as Head of Local News in Al Khaleej Arabic Daily from 1992 to 1999.
Marzouqi also worked in Dubai TV as Programme Producer and was member of media committees for a number of important conferences and events held in Dubai during the past years including Dubai 2003 (58th Meeting of the Board of Governors of the World Bank and IMF).
