Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn about Sophos's integrated threat protection solutions, featuring endpoint, email and web security and control, as well as network access control (NAC).
"2008 has seen an explosion in IT security threats spread via the web, with SophosLabs now finding one new infected webpage every five seconds."said Steve Munford, CEO at Sophos.
"With internet access and usage increasing rapidly in the Middle East, it is crucial for organisations to have the correct security measures in place to keep their networks safe and maintain business continuity. GITEX offers us a platform on which to enlighten IT professionals about the latest threats and demonstrate how they can defend against those threats."added Dr Kamel Heus, Sophos Business Development Manager, Middle East and Africa.
In addition to demonstrating its products and services, the security vendor will be looking to enhance its local presence and cement existing relationships.
GITEX is taking place at Dubai International Conference and Exhibition Centre (DICEC) from 19 to 23 October 2008.
As part of GITEX 2008, Sophos can be found at stand Z-Q2.
