Shaza is anticipating to operate a 400,000 square foot property built by Aristocrat Star Investments on a plot of land earmarked for a five star mixed-use hotel development.
Located in Dubai Investments Park, construction for both the 155-room hotel and 205-hotel apartments will begin almost immediately, with the opening of the hotel expected by the end of 2010.
Osman Valli, Group Chief Executive Officer, Aristocrat Star Investments, said:
"We are delighted by the strong interest in our flagship Royal Estates Hotel project and are keen to leverage our in-depth expertise in construction and design to help bring Shaza's unique concept to life. We chose Shaza Hotels because it promises a whole new guest experience and is backed by Kempinski's strong operational expertise."
Known for its iconic properties, Aristocrat has set a new standard within the local real estate industry, working with world-renowned architects and interior designers to develop innovative, eco-friendly developments.
Shaza Hotels CEO Michel Novatin said:
"We are interested in working with Aristocrat and are in discussions regarding managing a hotel in its Royal Estates community that meets the aspirations of culturally discerning travellers, with a high level of quality and authenticity that is consistent with the Shaza brand."
The 360 keys property will have two restaurants, a fully-equipped fitness centre and swimming pool, business centre, two board rooms, a multi-purpose banquet hall, prayer rooms and a signature Shaza Hammam spa.
With hotels being developed in Cairo, Doha, Marrakech, Muscat, Bahrain, and other cities, Shaza Hotels aims by 2015 to be operating 20 five-star hotels around the world.
