3M Oil and Gas appoints GASOS for distribution in UAE

GASOS, which is a leader in providing technology and services to the oil and gas sector in the UAE has over 30 years of experience, and was selected as 3M's distribution partner based on the company's in depth industry knowledge and expertise.

As part of the agreement, the company will be distributing a wide variety of 3M products that can help oil and gas industry customers increase productivity, improve performance and maintain safety. Included among them are corrosion protection products (powder [FBE] and liquid coatings) for protecting steel pipelines and associated fittings. These also help to reduce maintenance costs and the risk of pipeline failure.

GASOS will also be responsible for distributing a range of 3M electrical devices and accessories which are designed for long term reliability and help reduce the chance of electrical failures. The range includes tapes, terminations, splices, motor leads and cable accessories. 3M Dynatel pipeline marking and locating products will additionally be distributed by GASOS, for locating faults, accurate marking and relocation of buried facilities. The Dynatel range of products for the oil and gas sector can help to improve reliability in challenging conditions.

Other products that GASOS will be responsible for distributing are 3M's Firestop products, which offer highly dependable seals against fire, smoke, toxic fumes and moisture. The range is designed to maintain continuity of operations and to help protect the lives of workers in the industry. On an administrative and logistics level, GASOS will distribute a range of 3M benchmark products including air purifying units, computer privacy filters and projection systems.
