AUD, a private institute of career-oriented education in the United Arab Emirates, will implement UniversiTools Classroom Scheduler, Exam Scheduler and Common Time Locator modules. The university has around 3000 students enrolled at its Dubai Media City campus in schools of business, engineering, and communication and information studies, as well as departments of information technology, visual communication, and interior design.
"Our enrollment is increasing every academic year. We need robust software that is still flexible and easily schedules classrooms, exams, and alternative meeting times," states Matilda Jabbour, AUD Registrar.
He added:
"We decided to sign with White Mountain because their software is top-quality, and they have a strong regional presence for technical support and after-sales service."
With UniversiTools Class Scheduler, the university registrar can automatically generate schedules that allocate classes to rooms, taking into consideration the array of variables and scheduling preferences on AUD campus.
UniversiTools Exam Scheduler runs 100% conflict-free exam timetables, while reducing back-to-back exams for students on the same day. The university registrar can take into account room capacity, professor preferences and other constraints related to AUD's exam period.
UniversiTools Common Time Locator finds optimal shared free periods among students, when a need for an alternative or make-up session is required.
Ghassan Abboud, White Mountain Managing Director, explains that the company develops and customizes UniversiTools modules, so that universities can address their specific pain-points. "If a problem cannot be solved with our existing modules, we'll work closely with the registrar or other university administrator to develop it."
UniversiTools software also has modules to manage the university career center, alumni relations, grants and scholarships, and resource facilities.
